چکیده
Abstract The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, especially, the transmission of virus via infected contact surfaces, has put increased emphasis on need to fabricate antimicrobial surfaces protect against various deadly pathogens. Laser surface texturing (LST), one common modification techniques, been successful for antifouling applications improve resistance bacterial adhesion. In this short review, we aim explore possibilities using LST fabricating viruses. characteristics influencing interaction with and bacteria an overview antibacterial created by are briefly described first before assessing current limitations antiviral surfaces. Laser Surface Texturing of Polymers for Biomedical Applications
Polymers are materials widely used in biomedical science because of their biocompatibility, and good mechanical properties (which, in some cases, are similar to those of human tissues); however, these materials are, in general, chemically and biologically inert. Surface characteristics, such as topography (at the macro-, micro, and nano-scale), surface chemistry, surface energy, charge, or wett...
متن کامل3D Printed Stencils for Texturing Flat Surfaces
We address the problem of texturing flat surfaces by spray-painting through 3D printed stencils. We propose a system that (1) decomposes an image into alpha-blended layers; (2) computes a stippling given a transparency channel; (3) generates a 3D printed stencil given a stippling and (4) simulates the effects of spray-painting through the stencil.
متن کاملChordlength Texturing of Spline Surfaces
This article presents an inexpensive approach to provide (s,t) texture coordinates of a spline surface that mitigates texture compression and stretching artifacts. It employs a chordlength approximation based on the original spline surface parameterization.
متن کاملTexturing Surfaces Using Reaction - Diffusion
This dissenation introduces a new method of creating computer graphics textures that is based on simulaling a biological model of pa11em formation known as reaction-diffusion. Applied mathematicians and biologistli have shown how simple reaction-diffusion systems can create pan ems of spots or stripes. Here we demonstr.lte that the range of patterns created by reaction-dtffusion can be greatly ...
